This section gives the performance statistics of the Network Simulator. The performance test were conducted separately for each network. The environment in which the tests were performed, the hardware configurations and the performance numbers for request handling and trap handling are provided in this topic.

Performance Numbers for Trap Handling in SNMP Trap Stormer
From Trap Stormer:
The Trap Stormer is used to test the performance of trap handling in Simulation Toolkit. The performance of the trap is calculated using the Trap Stormer in normal mode.
Trap Version |
Varbinds Configured |
Rate of Traps in Windows OS in Normal mode |
Rate of Traps in
Linux OS in Normal mode |
---|---|---|---|
V1 Traps |
with 2 Varbinds |
1650 / sec |
1728 / sec |
V2C Traps |
with 3 Varbinds + default Varbinds |
